Mental Health Resources - General

NAMI (National Alliance on Mental Illness) is the nation’s leading organization advocating for the needs of individuals and families dealing with mental illness. Call NAMI Helpline at 800-950-NAMI (6264) for information and support.

NIMH (National Institute of Mental Health) is the main federal agency dealing with mental health issues. See their Brochures and Fact Sheets for evidence-based information for the public.

Substance Use / Addiction Resources

NIDA (National Institute on Drug Abuse) is the main federal agency dealing with substance use. See the Drug Topics section for information on particular substances

SAMHSA (Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration) is another great federal resource. Largely geared toward professionals, the Store can be searched for information about treatment and recovery. 

David Lawrence Centers for Behavioral Health (Naples, FL) — The David Lawrence Centers (DLC) is the leading non-profit community behavioral health center in Collier County providing a wide range of mental health and substance use treatment services.
