About Turas Counseling

Turas is the Irish (Gaelic) word for Journey.

Whatever challenges you may be facing on your Journey through Life, Turas Counseling is here to help.

We humans have been Journeying since the beginning of time. Journeys take countless forms.

Some Journeys are Physical. These involve movement from one location to another, or perhaps show growth in the journey from childhood, through adolescence and adulthood and into old age.

Some Journeys are Imaginative. These are the ones that lead to great discoveries, to inspire great art, and to open the human spirit to express its creative potential.

And some Journeys are Inner. These, some say, are the journeys that are most challenging, and the most rewarding.  These are the journeys not of distance but of depth.  The great philosopher Socrates said, “The unexamined life is not worth living.” The Inner Journey is challenges us to examine our lives – our thoughts, our feelings, our actions – in the lifelong search for meaning and purpose.

“Not until we are lost do we begin to find ourselves.”
Henry David Thoreau
